In 2020 I had the pleasure of visiting and photographing Emeline Kadjatatal, the first female animal health worker in her region of Togo near the Abdoulaye forest. Breaking traditional gender roles she earns a living traveling around on her bicycle, treating and vaccinating sheep, goats and chickens. Emline is a real inspiration to me, showing how we can improve our local communities by learning and putting in hard work. VSF Suisse provided the training for Emeline and others like her. See the link below for more information on their work in Togo: https://www.vsf-suisse.org/where-we-work/togo/?lang=en
